Prizes have been allocated and the bookings are coming in.A 3 course sit down meal with wine included will cost you only £20 and (if you book before the end of the year) you can bring a partner for only £15. So far the majority of people have booked for a partner too. To ensure that you don't miss out you must get your booking in quick. We have to have confirmations (with menu choices) by January 9th and cannot accept bookings any later. Please contact John Cardiff to confirm your place(s) by emailing him on johnc@pgnut.co.uk (mailto:johnc@pgnut.co.uk) Full details are in the Winter Newsletter and you should have received an email from John with menu options, etc

Weather station update

The clubs weather station is in need of a bit of TLC. We have noticed a few issues with it so please take a large pinch of salt before checking what it says. We have some cable issues and maybe some transmission issues.James Dell and myself have an action plan to work through to make sure the whole system works, once we have that sorted out I will then do the remake of the weather pages. I would guesstemate that sometime over Christmas those pages will get some love. Markus K has suggested another type of graph for the wind and this will be added once we get a working system. If you have an idea of what you would like to be displayed then why not post on the forum? The web cam project is also on going. Markus has loaned a camera that we might use for that project and I have located an IP cam that might be going cheap. So with a bit of luck time and effort everything should be up and running by the start of the flying season, well those that like it a bit warmer anyway.Curly Jon

Prize Giving

We have booked a new venue for the awards this year; Tilsworth Golf club. It is pretty near the old venue (Cricket club) but is more upmarket. You will be served a 3 course meal with wine. Following that will be the awards prize giving and we will end the evening with music and the chance to shake a leg (possibly with live music; TBA). Tickets are £20 and it will be held on Friday 16th January. Last years turn out was excellent but we would like to see it bettered. So, in an attempt to encourage partner participation we will offer a further £5 subsidy for partner tickets bringing the price down to £15 and the after dinner event will hopefully be more to their liking too (music and dancing). If that doesn't entice you enough then have a look at the mouth watering menu. You can see it here (menu A, 3 course option): johnc@pgnut.co.uk (mailto:johnc@pgnut.co.uk)You can pay by cheque or bank transfer and you shoudl have received an email with details.Keep your nominations and new award suggestions coming in please. Hope to see you there, James + 1 of course!
